Emery Mukendi Wafwana & Associates was incorporated in the DRC in 1995 by Mr. Emery Mukendi and since, the law firm has evolved considerably, from a business-law focused organization to one specialized in the mining and hydrocarbons sectors. A major milestone for EMW&A occurred in 2000, when, with the help of the World Bank, the government of the DRC put forward a tender for the elaboration of a new mining code.
